We
are a full service optometric practice. A full visual
examination takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes.
In addition to determining a patients spectacle or contact
lens prescription we also evaluate the health of the
eye. According to the standard of care, we generally
dilate the eyes of patients we see for the first time
and every two years thereafter, if the eyes are healthy.
We do not dilate the eyes of patients who are pregnant
or nursing. Most individuals can drive themselves after
such an examination with sunglasses. We provide disposable
sun shades for those who don't have sunglasses. If you
are uncomfortable driving after this procedure please
bring someone to drive you.
We
fit most types of contact lenses. These include regular
soft contact lenses and those for astigmatism and bifocal
needs. Gas permeable or "semi-soft" lenses are still
an excellent option for some patients. More information

Our clinic has a stock of thousands of contact lenses
and the solutions necessary for their care. Through
continuing education and specialized training, Dr. Sather
keeps up with the latest technology and contact lens
options.

frame styles. We make sure the frame you choose is the
correct size for your face and that the lens shape will
work for the type of prescription you wear. For example,
don't try to cram your progressive lenses into frames
that are too small!
